Walmart selling KWC?
Alright, I don't really know if this has been posted before, but I just got news from my cousin that Walmart is selling KWC. I know this because he picked up a KWC Beretta 92FS springer and he just informed me that they didn't ask for proof of age or parental permission. He's underage.
He picked it up for about $44. This was a Walmart in Midland...bout two hours north of Toronto for those not familiar with it. Anyone else heard about this?

My cousin is in Midland, and I'm in Melbourne, Australia. I'll see what he can pull off but don't hold your breath.

K just to inform, it IS clear. When i heard KWC and saw his display pic on msn I was under the impression that they were back to selling the painted airsoft/softair guns again. My bad and sorry for exciting some of you.

It is KWC though.
I have the 226, and it's clearly labeled KWC. It's not a bad springer, but it's miles short of TM springer quality. |

Waste of bandwith ... Walmart should sell WELL or CYMA even if it's clear than it'd be worth discussing :P

Unfortunately it's all this clear springer crap that is drawing unnecessary heat to our fair sport. Little Johnny picks one up at Walmart because the cashier is either uneducated or too stupid to check for ID, takes it to school, and The Sun has its headline for tomorrow.

Unfortunately, it's actually stupid people drawing unecessary heat, as it's always been.
I'm pretty sure that's borderline "blame the pencil for the spelling mistakes". That and I'm pretty sure the media just sometimes has nothing better to do than stir the shit. Example: On the news tonight, there's a whole segment on how it's dangerous to go to the hospital because of the cleanliness and soforth. Like doctors and nurses are plotting to kill us with dirty fingernails... Besides, I was halfway to a bushy beard when I wandered in and bought my KWC p226 to see how they are, and guess what? The lady behind the counter grilled me. Asked me for ID, asked me what I wanted to use it for, and then even bothered to ask me if I knew how to use it. So... No disrespect or anything, but it's not that cut and dry. Oh yeah, and I really mean it about the gun. It's not a bad little springer. Weak hop-up, and it's super light, but seems to be pretty well made. Oh yeah, and for the springer haters - c'mon now... nothing more exciting then sneaking around and tagging someone with a springer. Try it sometime. |

I'm not blaming the gun, but the mass proliferation to chain stores whose age policy will vary not only from store to store but from cashier to cashier and who furthermore couldn't give a toss about protecting a sport they know nothing about. A couple of years ago, you couldn't stroll into a storefront and pick up a springer or an LPEG except in a few rare cases. Now you walk into any Canadian Tire or Walmart and they're staring you in the face. It's introducing all kinds of people to the sport and a greater percentage of them are proving to be undesirables, and we have zero control over it.
