My WA2000 - candyman build

Greetings from across the pond, thought i'd show you all my WA2000, some of you will have seen it, some of you will not. I found your forum while googling for pictures of the Unique Alpine TPG-1...... you can probably guess why! Anyway, some pics and info on the WA I made.

It took 223 hours over 10 weeks

Cost £255 in parts for the gun and £150 for the accesories

At the time I had no mill or lathe, so all parts were made using a vice, files, hacksaw, pillar drill, dremel, etc.

All pics are here Candymans airsoft WA2000 build

Thanks guys. Yes as Bllodsport said I used a western arms pistol for the internals as I wanted it gas blowback but not using an external gas rig like the Asahi. I added a 650mm barrel and it shoots about 330fps. Over 200 pics of every stage of the build are on my site, along with a video of it firing!

oh yeh and it weighs 6.4kg, i tried to get it as close to the real thing as possible.

Okay, I'm pretty jaded and not easily impressed, but this one blows my mind.

Did you say blowback?

Okay, now you have to post a video of it shooting. No arguing. Go forth and record video.

I have to admire you if only to commit yourself to such a build, but I also have to admire your worksmanship.

I'm certain no pictures can do it justice, it's one of those pieces you have to hold and handle to appreciate to its fullest.

Cheers,
HR
