Survival Gear

I have been working on some new concepts for Milsims in the past few months, trying to find ways to "up the game" for those who are interested in the "HardCore" kind of gaming.

Came accross this and figure it'd be a good read for everyone. Not just people interested in the HardCore.

The "pocket survival pack" is always very interesting. Although i'm not sure what they are selling is of good quality, they offer a full list of the kit, so you can make your own if wanted.

Cheers,

Equipped to Survive is one of many great survival sites. Personally I LOVE gathering info, books, tools, etc. for survaival kits and just every day pieces of gear that come in handy.

Another favourite of mine is Ranger Rick's Digest, chock full of simple, cheapo tricks, techniques etc. that many of which would be gerat for airsofters. How about a Dollar Store phone cord extension for a cheap pistol lanyard? What about a poor man's BBQ, made out of a piece of grill and an old ammo box? Hehe, prime one to read is how to dry your combat boots in the dryer without all that banging around noise!

If you like to read, I highly recommend the SAS Survival Guide.
SAS Survival Guide: John 'Lofty' Wiseman: Amazon.ca: Books
I own this, but my cover is different.

I own another variation of that, mine is a hardcover. Great read. Best book by far I've gotten is Camping and Wilderness Survival by Paul Tawrell:

Camping & Wilderness Survival: Paul Tawrell: Amazon.ca: Books

It is chock full of different variations of everything, including all climates. Each page is sectioned off in multiple "windows" with succinct info in each one, not a lot of filler info for pages on end about a certain topic.

Still, every survival book I own is a great thing to have and pick up to read once in a while just to refresh the memory.
