A Warning to Individuals

I just learned that Customs has sent my order back to WGCShop, refusing to allow the items into Canada.

The following is a list of items from the order:

- Guarder G36C Air Seal Nozzle
- Mojji 25mm Mount Ring ( Height 15mm )
- Mojji Killer Elite 3-9 x 40 DX Scope
- Prometheus 6.03 EG Barrel 509mm
- Prometheus Non-Liner Spring MS100
- Systema Silent Head Set for Gearbox Ver.3
- Systema N-B Cylinder Type-0
- Systema Poly Carbonate Piston for Gearbox Ver 2/3

Nothing here is supposed to be against the rules, but obviously I got the anal Customs Agent.

Anyway, I've now had a shitty day as I've been looking forward to this arriving, and I guess the only positive note is that they are simply sending it all back to WGC. Just wanted to let people know.

Whether this means Customs is as a whole turning back indivual purchases, or simply that I got the wrong agent, I have not idea. Just a heads up to others.

Cheers./

I would contact someone at customs as I am pretty sure they have no legal leg to stand on for not allowing those parts in.

Very random items have been seized by customs before, usually it's not worth contesting for small orders like yours. It's unfortunate when it happens, but it doesn't happen every time.

However, if you value getting your items more than getting a deal, ordering through a retailer that will guarantee and order for you can be worthwhile - this isn't to say you HAVE to buy things locally here, but it's something to keep in mind.

Sorry to hear about it.

True HoJo. Just thought I'd save myself the time ordering parts I 'knew' wouldn't be a problem. Oh well. When are you putting in another order?

Not that its news or a surprise to anyone, but I still find it disgusting that CBSA can get away with this sort of Gestapo-esque bullying. This clearly has nothing to do with a legal infraction, just CBSA making peoples' life miserable because there's no one around to stop them.

Actually, I think I may have a way to turn it around. Will post more details tomorrow morning (Oct. 20) after talking with Customs about it. It is at least worth a try.

This looks like they are violating article 8. (Everyone has the right to be secure against unreasonable search or seizure) of the charter of rights and freedoms. But I am only taking a high school legal studies coarse so if anyone knows otherwise please tell me.

It's not really a question of unreasonable search or seizure, infact, I'm very happy that Customs does their job so thoroughly.

[edit]After all, they do stop a lot of things that REALLY shouldn't be getting into the country. ex. Their latest Huge Cocain seizure[/edit]

This problem is a matter of mis-interpretation of the legislation.

good luck with that, it was just sent back to wcg so it wouldn't hurt just to try and have it re-sent. never a better emoticon when dealing with customs:banghead:

Well your other solution would be to call up your supplier and explain to them are situation here and asked them to wright down on the box ( paintball sh** ) and pretty sure that it would slide like butter true customs. I did and got a M203 with grenade and other stuff from california....

Yeah, make sure the items you're sending don't have anything depicting firearms of any sort. Make sure customs declaration is not something sketchy and at low value (cause who cares about 'toy parts') so in case you get the duty fee it's not an additional 30% cause that STINKS.

Update

Okay, so I called Customs this morning to find out what was wrong with the items... The lady I talked to said that there was NOTHING WRONG WITH IT! And that they had cleared it to enter the country.

And that it was Canada Post that returned the item due to an Incomplete Address! UGGGGG!!!! When I called Canada post yesterday to find out why their tracking site said it was being returned to sender, they told me it was because Customs had refused it... And now? Well, now it's on the plane already and CP says there's no way to stop it... Had the @%$! nut actually known what she was talking about yesterday, I might have been able to fix the problem...

My guess... Delivery information was damaged during Customs inspection... Though I suppose it is possible that the delivery information was incomplete right from WGC...

So, Now I'll have to wait another week for it to get back to WGC, and another Week for it to be sent again with proper delivery information. Though this time I'll be asking WGC to make sure the labels are not over the joints of the box...

Anyway, long story short, it's not a refusal at the border... It's just a shitty situation. Well, maybe some day I'll be able to install my upgrades...

Cheers./

I like the idea. it is tempting to ask that an entire AEG be labelled as a "paint ball marker". If only I had some extra cash.
