Using Scopes and Binoculars with googles

Been thinking of grabbing a standard or illuminated 3x-9x scope for a future semi-auto sniping AEG. I have a pair of small binoculars that I found rather hard to use with my googles on.... Are there certain sized scopes that are better than others to use as we are forced to view them a few inches from the eyepiece due to googles?

Check the eye relief for the scope. Most binoculars are meant to be held very close to the eyes, so they have a short eye-relief. Scopes will vary. I have a scope wich has somewhere around 3" - 3.5" relief, which has been perfectly fine with relatively large paintball type goggles. Of course if you can use low-profile goggles or tactical ballistic glasses you will be able to bring your eye closer...

Eye relief issues are why a lot of folks use red-dot type scopes with no magnification for this game.

It is really difficult to find regular scopes that are meant for extremely short ranges.

low profile eye protection is the best way, since you can get much closer. PB masks are so big, you cant even get your face near your sights...low profile goggles allow you to get right in.

only problem with non pb goggles is field restrictions. past that ballistic goggles should solve the lo-pro problem

Yeah, I have glasses as well which makes it really uncomfortable right now until I get new goggles, I have an RDS sight I can't use, it's even hard for me to use iron sights ( on my M4 ) :banghead:
