R/C Airsoft Tanks
Hello, just a newbie here with a weird question:
I'm interested in R/C vehicles esp. tanks. I've heard online that Tokyo Marui produces a line of remote-controlled tanks which feature built-in airsoft guns in the turret. A tank-on-tank airsoft battle would be awesome, but I can't find any Canadian retailers online that carry these tanks. While I imagine that the fact that it's built into a obviously model tank might make it easier to import than a standard airsoft gun, its questionable legal status seems to make trying to get it from outside the country a bad idea. Does anyone know of a Canadian (preferably Albertan) distributor which would carry these products? Thanks very much, -Cyberwolf |

if there is no issue with bringing it across the border I would highly recommend http://www.hobbytron.com/AirsoftTanks.html
They sell several tanks at a VERY affordable price, I think I saw one on there as low as 34 USD

Contact any of the Canadian Retailers, have them imported for you (special order).
Using them at games is not really useful, but as toys they would be fun. |

SpecArms shows that they have TM Tigers in stock. Its not cheap but if you're into RC then you gotta get one. Might be just the thing to keep the cats off the counter :-D

Any one that thinks this stuff is expensive should look into the Naval models that the guys out in Australlia build.
They build up scale model ships and build custom BB guns in size and power to scale with the vessel they are recreating. Aswell as hull thickness, every has to use Balsa wood for their hull so the BB's can penetrate, but can use the same thickness in scale to the vessel they are recreating. Add in all the custom motors, rigging, gear, screws, gyro's and shit to get out onto the open "sea's" and then have to row out to get your self out of the water! :P "ALL HANDS TO THE PUMPS!" "ALL HANDS ABANDON SHIP!" More can be seen at http://media.ausbg.org/html/2001/nat..._june/lms.html

Hah, ironic. I almost got into RC ship battling (if I could convince somebody else to do it with me), but then I bought airsoft. I think they use 8mm ball bearings, and generally try to imitate real ships. I think it'd be a blast

They generally use .177 BB's there Cushak. Easier to get and easier to build the guns for. Plus fits most scales on battleship armaments. Although if someone built the Bismach I'm sure they'd have those 8mm's!
