.30gr
Hey guys I can't really find any info on this so I thought I would ask the pros.
I was thinking of switching up to .30gr bbs is it worth it for outdoor events, I normally use .25s I'm using a stock TM Aug |

not worth it for a stock gun. They will fly waaay too slow and range will be rather limited.
I would only recommend 0.30g for 380+fps guns. |

Seconded.
350fps w/ .30 for special purpose (sniper, quiet guns maybe) at the minumum, definitely not in a stock gun. You'll be getting less than 250fps out the barrel, and your buddies willl just start going Neo on your shots. |

0.3s works fairly well in my GBB.

thanks guys I do play a sniper role but I haven't upgraded my Aug YET, next season. Guess I'll go buy the .25s.

0.25g are best overall for AEGs. Some might buy a bag of 0.28g and have a couple specially ID'd mags loaded with them for special occasions (such as that guy who is within range but behind thick bushes and nothing seems to penetrate) but all the rest loaded with 0.25g.
I've found that 0.29g-0.30g work great in GBBs, the vloctiy drop isn't near the same as AEGs because of the nature of expanding gas. Case in point my G19 that normally shoots 0.20g BBs at 341fps shoots 0.43g BBs at around 265fps, where an AEG set up the same way might see 220-240fps if lucky, most likely less. |

i guess the .25g BBs are the most widely used, and common type of BBs. suits everyone in the airsoft market, works well in most guns, and is the most balanced weight to use IMO. upgraded snipers/AEGs are an exception though....
