Old MP5K
I have an old TM MP5K, by old, I mean like 7years+ old. Anyways, I had to clean out the gun and re-lube everything. But it doesn't work. The motar works, because when I pull the trigger, I hear a "click" sound and at the same time I feel a little jump coming from the motar. I've checked all the gears and everything seems to be fine, the gears spin when I push it, but it won't spin when I stick the motor in. Any ideas? I've spent several nights trying to get it to work, I've had 2 of my friends look at it and we can't seem to figure out whats wrong with it.

While it may seem stupid, make sure the battery is connected the right way. One time I connected the battery wrong (reversed polarity) on my G36, and it did exactly what you were describing. The motor made a little "click" sound, but nothing else.

Try the motor outside the mechbox to see if the battery will power the motor.
Also, what are the teeth on the pinion gear like? What spring is it running? |

The motor spins when its out of the mechbox and I also looked at all the gears, everything seems to be fine, well, its a TM. The teeth on the piston is fine also. Everything SEEMS fine, I have no idea what kind of spring its running, its used and the owner doesn't remember what he did to it.

Maybe you put the motor in backwards? I'd say at least 50% of these problems are from the motor going in the wrong way around.

But the motor only goes in one way, the gear pointing up. Unless the motor is left and right side specific, which i don't think so, since it just spins, it doesn't matter whether you have it left or right.

i had a problem with my MP5K, with the wiring backwards. would blow a fuse and gun wouldnt cycle simply because it was running against the anti-reversal latch.

Ghost Snake got it, I did reverse the wiring, I guess re-assembling a mechbox in the middle of the night doesn't help. Man, I can't believe I over looked the wiring like that. Thanks a lot guys. But now I have another problem, once I switched the wires, the gun fired, and it shot out the air nozzle, which broke around the part where it attaches to the tappet plate. I'm wondering, can I just glue the air nozzle and the tappet plate together? Because I'm thinking of ordering a new air nozzle from ASA, but I hate waiting.

i wouldnt recommend gluing. Buy a new airnozzle. Your tappet plate broke too? well get one of those. The glue may not provide a perfect seal

Yeah, I decided to just buy a new nozzle, no point repairing the gun again when things break. Can't cheap out on guns. THanks guys.

you may want to consider getting a new tappet plate as well just in case a crack developed in it while your nozzel broke. They are cheap enough and since your mech box is apart it's worht while to do it all at the same time.
