AK 47S Folding Stock

Hello,

I'm debating on which TM AK to get. I like the AK 47S because it allows to become more compact and simply I think it looks better. My question is, how durable is the folding stock? I have a TM M4 and a P90 and I can pull the guns into my shoulder tightly without fear of it breaking. By the looks of the of the stock on the AK 47S, it looks like it will break when I pull it into me tightly. Can anyone tell me how durable the folding stock is?

Think about what makes the gun work before looking at the external parts; the AK with the full stock uses the Large Battery types. Those last for days.
The AK47s uses the 'stick' battery, and you'd need more of those.

Up to you, it's a matter of looks. Remember that these are toys; toughness of any part is debatable.

For me, I've never found my full sized AK to be cumbersome. If you are going to use the gun with the stock extended anyway... why not have the advantage of a large battery?

Meh. Depends what you want the gun for. If he likes the look of the folding stock better, then more power to him. There are many reasons for liking a certain gun. Looks are one, practicality is one, build quality, battery size, etc. For me, I get the guns that I like in real life. A Glock may be a decent airsoft handgun, but you'll never see me with one, just because the real ones are horrible, horrible pieces of shit. Battery size is probably one of the last things on my list when I get a gun. I get what is good in real life, and I think that's a valid reason, just like someone who gets a gun for the looks.

He can get it for looks, or practicality. As long as he has the option to decide on what he wants and the consequences, whatever floats his boat.
Folding = small battery + potentially more fragile.
Full = Large battery + less fragile.
Using a folding stock extended = same size as full stock minus the large battery capacity.

So it's all in what he wants for looks at this point.

Agreed. When I get an AK down the road, I will def go for full stock, for strength, and large battery.

Remember that the plastic full stock doesn't mean sure durability, they split and break too. Best bet is to go for something aftermarket if you want strength. I've seen them wrapped with tape and breaking.

Personally, I prefer the folding stock as well. Maybe an aftermarket side folder? Keep an extra stick battery and you're fine.

1400mah will do for a day, and if it does die, it's not like it's instant, so you're not going to get shot up before you can change it.

If you have the cash though, wait a month or two. Classic Army is coming out with a full metal and wood AK47 and a full metal and wood AK74M.

full stock. the ABS stocks can take a beating.
but you could do what I did and use a wood kit.
