*WARNING LOTS OF PICS* CA G36K broken barrel sleeve
attempting to remove the crappy looking safety orange flash hider from the end of my barrel i accidently over tightened it causing the crappy metal to snap. i have tried clear weld twice to no avail (you should be able to see the remenents in the pictures), gorilla glue but i could not find a suitible clamp, duct tape- this works but it is a temporary thing that falls apart after a little use, apparently i cant weld it, and there is not enough space for me to bolt a couple of braces to either side. I suppose i could cut it flat then glue in a small piece of metal so it will be the right size but, if glue already hasnt worked why will it work now especially since it would be a smooth surface. i have tried to order a new one but there is no part number for it in the instruction manuel and Classic Army told me to caontact Spartan Imports out in California (in the U.S.) the only importer of classic army in the country. this i have tried by both email and phone receiving no response the five or so times i attempted contact. i have also tried site like wgc with no luck so looking i am basically looking for any suggestions on how to fix this. it is not a major problem but more of an annoyance, it makes the gun look bad. i can still play with it broken but it rattles and moves a bit. thanks for you help.
That front end of a Classic Army G36 is in fact metal.
After market replacement do exist, if you want to just replace that entire section. I'm surprised you were able to do the damage you did, CA doesn't exactly use the best of metals everywhere, but that part isn't exactly weak either.
