Barrel suckback

HEy on a gun ( the Ca M15A4 Rifle ) that has a long barrel, about 509mm i think, if you upgrade to a 6.04 tightbore will you get suckback in the barrel?

I am getting this AEG and thinking of getting a tightbore to put in it, but i was told that if you have a tightbore on a barrel so long that it creates a mild vacuum. I don't know if this is correct, haven't read anything about it but i just want to be sure.
thanks

Your 16, I dont know if the laws are different over in California... But over here you need to be 18 to purchace any airsoft gun.

Not that that has anything to do with the question he's asking...

If the barrel length stays the same you should not have suckback, in fact I believe you might have a slight increase in FPS considering the volume of the barrel has decreased slightly.

To get suckback, I believe your total volume of your barrel has to be greater than the total volume of the cylinder. Other things to take into account is rate of fire, if it's too great, you may have a chance of having your bb's not leaving the barrel before the cylinder moves back and your cylinder size itself.

How does this help him in any way? You're pretty much saying "so something that doesn't matter to you is different here, and doesn't apply to you anyway"

As for the original question, as long as your new barrel is the same length as your old one, you don't need to worry about suckback.

No, the whole suckback theory is pretty blown out of proportion. Bear in mind that when you fire and your piston begins to retract, your tappet plate also moves back and breaks the seal around the hop rubber. A vacuum doesn't seem like a plausible occurence.

MadMax will probably jump in and explain it better than I can, but to answer your question no, adding a tightbore to an M15 will not detract from your performance. You will likely see a ~5 fps increase in velocity over the stock barrel in addition to the accuracy benefits.

I was merely pointing out the fact that hes worrying about upgrading his barrel on a gun he cant legally buy, but you are right, I wasnt answering his question, just stating that he shouldnt worry about upgrades unless he understands how to use his stock gun and show that he can use it maturely even though hes underage.

There are legitimate conditions which may allow someone underaged to acquire airsoft. A parent/legal guardian could purchase airsoft for their children.

thanks very much guys. So what im hearing is that 650 mm is the longest you can go without getting a bore-up
adn that having a tightbore doesnt make much of a difference. Ok that rules
so 509 should be fine
thanks very much for the info
