Silicone shock oil for lubrication in GBB?

So most of the guides/FAQ's on this site say to use 100% silicone oil both for lubing your GBB's internals (slide, hammer, outer barrel), as well as dumping in a couple drops to the Airsoft Innovation Propane Adapter. I have been unable to find pure 100% silicone oil anywhere but a hobby store, so I have a couple questions.

1. It says it's "Pure Silicone Shock Oil" and I used to use it to refill the shocks in my RC car. The side says "100% Pure Silicone blended to the GE Blending Chart" (whatever that means). Is this the right stuff to use in my gun, as well as the propane adapter?

2. My friend let me borrow some silicone-based silicone grease he uses in his paintball gun to lube my KSC G19's slide (it wasn't cycling properly; whole thing had locked up after 1000 rounds). Is this OK for lubrication purposes in the gun?

Thanks guys.

Be careful about using paintball lubricants in airsoft guns. Some like Dye's Shocker Lube are meant for guns with metal and rubber parts, not plastic and can destroy plastic parts. I've seen some guys try it and anyhting plastic that came in contact with Shocker was ruined. You should really be using only pure silicone with no petroleum products in it whatsoever.

I've used the pure silicone R/C oil with no ill effects, but generally I use the ICS silicone spray for general lube and cleaning. You can get it in the U.S. from Airsplat or Aisoft Elite and 1 can will last me a year or more.

Allright great, thanks a lot.

Also, my pistol is the $175 metal slide/outer barrel version from UNC. Does it still have plastic parts (I haven't spent too much time looking inside it)?

The loading nozzle, rocket valve, etc. are all plastic.

Just clean it out of there if it's not compatible and you'll be fine. They usually won't destroy plastic parts instantly, it will take some time.

Is the Dye Shocker Lube also known as Dow 33?

No, Shocker = Dow 55. Great for lubing and swelling o-rings (like for a paintball gun with it's bazillion o-rings), but hell on plastic. I saw the white plastic piston from a Marui AEG trun a pukey, pinky/brown and it was so brittle that it shattered into several large pices when it was fired for the first time after sitting for months.

I would only use 55 for mag seals and not actually in the gun.

Awesome news. Thanks so much. But I have one more question: silicone spray is the best stuff to lube the internals of your GBB's?

I like it because you can get it precisely where you need to and you can avoid having to "drip" it in odd spots and end up over-lubing and compromising your guns performance. I use green gas so I don't need to add any extra oil to my mags and I find that a simple shot of lube once a year on the slide/frame junction and on the spring guide is sufficient. No failures yet.

Sorry to interrupt but, I am guessing the 100% silicone oil from airsoftinnovation (the one for propane adaptor) works for lubing guns as well?

It's 100% silicone oil, for sure, so it would work. But like mcguyver said, you risk over-saturating your gun with lube since it's an oil, not a grease or spray; therefore it can drip into places you don't want it.
