Question What do you Grease in the gearbox???????

I bought Lube Gel for my clyinder and clyinder head.
I lubed by cylinder, clyinder head and nozzle with lube gel.
Then I lubed my piston slides with lube gel as recommended in the bushing guide.

I just bought ceramic grease for my gears.
I have helical gears and does this matter when applying grease.
Do you just grease the axles and do you need to grease the gear teeth also.
Do you also grease the piston teeth and anti-reversal lever?
What about the tappet plate does it need grease where it slides along the cylinder.
What about putting grease where tappet plate has contact with the spur gear.

White lithium grease is all you need, and grease the inside of the cylinder, the piston head, the bushings, piston teeth if you really, really want to.

Of course, a "little too much" isn't as bad as "not enough", but don't go grease crazy.

Lithium grease is a poor choice for air handling areas, i.e. cylinder, pistonhead, cylinderhead and nozzle. Use a lighter grease, like Superlube.

I use lithium grease. Worked fine for Poncho when he taught me, still works for me.

Just a smear on the piston o-ring, same for inside the piston sleeve, a light touch on the piston rails, and on the pivot points of the gears.
It should not be more than that. Not needed anywhere else.
If you have a GBB, put a very light coating on the slide rails. That's it.

Question

I guess the answer I am looking for is do you need to grease the gear teeth.

I put lithuim in my gear box but a read a comment from Illusion suggesting Tamiya grease instead of White Lithium. I figured I want the best upgrades for my gearbox that I just upgraded why not the best grease Also.

Another great alternative is Tamiya grease products.

Molybdenum grease for gears, ceramic grease for piston head and cylinder as the recommended combination, although either one can be used with either area of the gearbox.

Can be picked up from Advanced Hobby and Toys on Sheppard between kennedy and midland by the train tracks in Scarborough or at any hobby store that cells Tamiya/Japanese R/C cars.

No need to grease the teeth at all. Just the gear shaft where they contact the bushings.
