Leaking O-Ring for WA M84FS

I have a problem with a WA M84FS magazine where the lower O ring (not the fill/firing valves) leaks gas. And seeing as the O ring is probably impossible to get (most retailers don't sell WA Beretta parts), unless I procure my own, I have to find out a way of making the mag not leak.

Normally saturating an O-ring in silicon oil should swell it up to provide a better fit, right? Is there anything I should do to possibly get it to swell better/evenly? And how long should I soak the O-ring in silicon oil before removing it?

And if anyone has another solution please let me know

Thanks in advance

I've fixed leaks in WA Beretta mags just by dripping silicone oil around the leaking spots. Leave it wet for maybe 10-20 minutes, then towel it off and try some gas in it. If it's still leaking, release the gas, re-lube and leave for a longer period of time. My girlfriend's M8045 mags developed leaks rather quickly after being left empty, like within a matter of days, so I've repeated this procedure a number of times. Of course, once the mags are fixed, make sure you store them with a quick shot of gas.

I have the same problem but with a Crosman which is ancient compared to your gun. I have a Crosman 38T I bought in the 70's. I will try the silicon oil but if that fails, are there any retailers in Toronto where you can take you firearm to be repaired? I did a search for Crosman in Ontario and only got a page with a 705 area code telephone number. I know they have a service centre in Peterborough because I needed to find out the muzzel velosity when the governemt came out with the new amunition and gun regulation several years ago. They told me my gun was 340 to 360 fps. The licensing limit is 500 fps.

Hrmn. Contact crosman, they'd definetly be able to give you a better answer. Not to mention they have places in North America (Unlike WA/TM Etc, who operate out of japan).

BIG necropost, but it's better to revive an old topic then make a new one.

However, my WA Cougar M8045 seems to be having the same problem. Nomatter what I do, the goddamn mag always leaks at the bottom. The other mag, after saturating with silicone oil, started working properly- however, propane leaks out of the other one at a fairly steady pace.

Recommendations, quick fixes, or longer ones?

Cheers.

Open it up, remove and soak o-rings overnight. Resassemble in the morning and wait a couple minutes before filling.

Thanks- however, I tried that last night. It didn't work- it did for a few seconds, until I heard the annoying 'hiss' sound coming from the fill valve again.

Do it again, but just give it a real tiny fill. Just like one little shot, then wait a few hours.

Hmm- thanks.

However, I found out, this morning, the REAL source of the problem.

Turns out the seal at the bottom (not the O-ring or the valve), simply the bottom in itself, isn't sealed well enough. Thus, the problem has absolutely NOTHING (0) to do with O-Rings, from what I understand, it's just how tight the bottom piece is attached to the rest of the mag.

I corrected it on 1 of the mags, then tried the other- it didn't fix it, now it's just loud as hell (loud sqealing sound, but very little gas is coming out- I'm going to remedy that now.

What was done was added tape to the linings of the bottom of the mag, making the seal a lot better. It worked like a charm on one of them mags, but the other one's sqealing. I'll try and remedy that now.

Lining the metal edges with vaseline then putting the baseplate back on, the leak has been 100% taken care of. Both mags work like a charm now.
