Exclamation Lipo Sizzles on Trigger Pull

Hi guys,

Hope all is well.

Recently switched out a spring (went from M100-M110) on my AEG. When I pulled the trigger, nothing happened, but I noticed a bit of a sizzle/crackle coming from the Deans connector. I unplugged immediately.

The Lipo didn't swell, thankfully -- though I don't plan on using it again as a precaution.

Has any encountered this before?
Note that the gun was firing fine before the spring change (though a little slow), and I didn't touch any of the wiring or open the gearbox (it's a quick change spring type).

Could it be the motor perhaps not liking the new spring or something of the sort?

Thanks for your insights!

If you pull the trigger and nothing happens and you notice crackling that's a really bad sign.

Is the motor OK? Or is it burned? Is it stock or aftermarket/frankenmotor?

You have a short somewhere.
Take it apart and diagnose your wiring, you might have a pinched wire.

Pinched wires it was!

Thanks for the heads up lads. Rewired the whole thing with higher gauge and called it a day. Works a beauty now.

Cheers.
