[question] TM G36C battery type
I have started shopping for my first AEG.
Here are my restrictions: It has to be a Tokyo Marui It has to be a G36 So, I'm going for the G36C from TM. I'll probably end up buying one without battery and charger so I went on WGC to have a look at the batteries and I was thinking of getting this one: http://www.wgcshop.com/pcart/shopper...4V%20Batteries It's an Intellect 8.4V 1400mAh - Mini Type ( Ni-MH ). I wanted to go with this one since it has the most mAh and from what I've read in here, the more mAh the longer it will last. Now the only problem is that on WGC it says than its slightly larger than a standard Mini type so would it fit in my G36C? If not, should it go for its little sister the 1200mAh one? Thanks alot for your help, it is as always really appreciated.

screw the battery, get this:
http://www.wgcshop.com/pcart/shopper...CLHG_srch_g36c Large Foregrip for G36c. you can fit any size battery up to a large 8.4V in it. Your gun will have better ROF and last longer... the best upgrade for your G36c! Classic army also makes one too. |

The stock handguard will only fit mini battery's, aka 8.4v 600mah. Any larger and you would need to make slight modifications in the handguard to make it fit. As p.phresh said, you can either get a larger handguard to accomodate larger batteries.
Personally I dislike the fat handguard look so I would suggest other handguards such as : http://www.wgcshop.com/pcart/shopper...HG003_srch_g36 http://www.wgcshop.com/pcart/shopper...HGWBB_srch_g36 http://www.wgcshop.com/pcart/shopper...36KEL_srch_g36 In the end, its all up to you; looks, price, comfort, future upgrades etc. unfortunately, I believe you still need slight mods to fit in batteries for your aftermarket handguards, thats how I fit batteries in mine anyway Just go look at www.wgcshop.com and search up "g36" you will find everything you need about your future gun |

The 1200mah Intellect fits in my CA36E just fine, if that helps.
I don't know why you wouldn't go with a CA36C instead of TM.

actually you can put all the way up to 1100 mah mini 8.4v battery in the regular handguard and if you get the large handguard you can fit any 8.4v battery or you cut out the little piece that holds the battery in and you can fit a 9.6v 2000mah

Malfrat told me to use the large handgard p.phresh suggested but i thought of starting without modifying it.
The Saint, I thought the Tokyo Marui were the best AEGs ever so I never even thought of shopping for a CA... Are the CAs that good?

CA's are better performing than TM, with higher stock FPS (low 300s versus mid 200s) and sometimes ROF. Also, most CA guns have a much higher metal content than their TM counterparts, though that's not really an issue with the G36 line. The only real problem is that CAs are slightly more prone to lemon, or at least, people complain about them a lot more loudly. I'd recommending reading some CA36 reviews before you finalize your decision.

Yeah, that's what I'm doing right now hehehe, the only thing is that the CA36c costs more than the TM G36c so I'm still not sure...

Think of it as never having to upgrade for more power? Don't forget that all CA guns come with a hicap, Marui guns come with only a locap.
BTW, the only way a TM36C is notably cheaper than a CA36C is if you buy a used one. A CA36C is otherwise dollars apart from TM36C, sometimes *less* than a TM36C. Check the CA preorder in the Used AEG section if you're verified.

The 600mAh, 1100mAh, 1200mAh and 1400mAh are all the exact same physical size, as they are made from the same standard cell size. I'd recommend ordering a battery from someone on this continent; it'll get to you faster and cheaper. I personally recommend www.unipros.com as I've had great experience with them.

Paid 8$ shipping.
As for the G36 I highly suggest you the CA one as it is about the same price but you get alot more for the money. The only downside of the CA one is their trades that are fake. Go over here he have one in stock at the best price possible don't miss your chance otherwise you may have to wait. |
