broken vest buckles

I would have imagined there'd be a thread about this already but after searching for a few minutes, I didn't find any so excuse me if this HAS actually already been posted.

I bought a blackhawk crossdraw vest used. It's got two broken buckles (One is the type that snaps together, and another is for tightening if you know what I mean, if you don't let me know so I can add pictures later). Although the buckles are cheap, I notice the stitching is pretty complex. I can't sew to save my soul and I get nervous when taking any sort of airsoft equipment outside to repair, so I'm just looking for some advice on how I might go about getting this very nice vest back in tip-top shape.

thanks.

If you don't want to do it yourself I would just take it to the kit shop and I'm sure Morbious could fix that in a heart beat.
Probably wouldn't cost too much seeing as how it's just a Q.R buckle and a ladder lock and a quick sew job.
The fact that he's got the right equipment to do it will mean it gets done right too, rather than some hand sewn job or even a regular machine if it'd even be strong enough to do the job not to mention the thread ect. ect.

Go to a shop that does those alterations and ask them to fix it for you. I got mine fixed once for like 10 bucks...but I had to provide laddder locks and the sliding thingies....it looks like a tight and complex sew but really you can sew it like you were attatching a button. Sewing is incrediably easy...I leanred to do it right after 2 or three tries...
I got one of those handi stitches and its saved me countless dollars in repairs of airsoft gear...

Great! Whereabouts in Mississauga are you located? I'll have to get ahold of a digital camera.

I'm the second owner of the vest though. I don't think they'll fix it for me.

Does the guarantee specify first owner only? Should follow up with them. Otherwise, I'll do it. I need pics of what buckles are affected so I can determine if I have them in stock.

I'll be around anytime after 1800 next week. I'll pm my contact info.

Alright, referring to the banner pic on this page (the 4 buckles lined up in the top right hand corner)
http://www.itwnexus.com/index.html

The first two (starting from the left hand side) are the ones that are broken on my vest. I'll take pics too but I'll have to wait till Sunday to get a camera, in the mean time think of this as a supplement post to the upcoming pics.

Thanks again for the help everyone

Yeah I'm pretty sure its 1 inch. Not sure how to measure these things but the entire buckle is about the size of a toonie, a tad bigger but not much.
