cadpat gen1, gen2, gen 3.... difference

I open 3 3D, and after your reply and with my experience i'm ready to said my impression ( 90% is items that i see and 10% is yours reply at 3D)

Cadpat gen 1:
white label ( http://cgi.ebay.com/CF-CANADIAN-REAL...QQcmdZViewItem http://cgi.ebay.it/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...tem=6247715593), i'm not sure about buttons or velcro of waist pockets but all items that i see is with velcro (2000- 2001), color tended to fade rather quickly, all buttons are exposed, Belt loops have buttons.

CadPat gen 2:
uniform is like gen 1 but i think change type of ink or fisative..... now items not fade quicly (my shirt gen 2 after washing is egual at my trousers gen3), label is green

Cadpat gen 3:
buttons are cover, no buttons on belt loops, internal pochet is in texile cadpat material and not in black cordura.

I've seen the Cadpat ones on a Gen3 uniform, for sure. Next time I see a few gen 3's, I'll remember to take a look for you.

For the Gen2 CADPAT, you're spot on. It feels like the Gen2 and Gen3 use the same fabric, and Gen3 is simply the modifications (buttons, belt loops, etc..). I've washed mine a dozen times now and they've barely shown any sign of fading.

Well thats good to hear, but when you wash top and bottom they won't look like they have faded, till you compare them to other new top/bottom. My tunic I thought it was still non faded till I wore it with my Tacvest and was really off. Also, wearing it makes it fade alot more then just washing it...

Yeah.. Everyone plays differently..
In 7weeks and my DP1 course is over I'll take some pics of my cadpat. I got it brand new day of the course starting and it has already started to fade. Depends how hard you work in it. Mostly on the ass (lol) and knees. for the tunic mostly on my elbows.
Then again a reg force course is a bit harder on the uniform compared to playing airsoft once every two weeks...

Yes BawBag, i'm sure that reg force course is hard for people and materials. Ass, knees and elbows is the part that tuch hard terrain and i think is normal if is faded after use..... but if you see photo of gen1 this faded only with wash.

I hope that now you can understand what i want said

Yea, the fade 1's started to fade after washing, but the newer ones are a lot better an don't fade immediatly after a wash.

I've had my CADPAT for over a year now, an its still pretty good. All 3 have different levels of fading, one is really faded, another one is kinda faded, an the 3rd still looks pretty dark'ish.
