P226 E2 - magazine valve spring defect?

Anyone else had a p226 E2, or really any other Marui pistol (or otherwise) where the valve knocker end has been struck by the hammer and then gotten caught in one of the loops of the closing spring, causing the valve to jam open and jettison the gas?

Gun seems fine, and when it happened initially, I figured it was just a freak occurrence, poked the spring back under the tappet or whatever it's called, and it worked fine for a little while again.

Seems to be that when the magazine was low, there wasn't enough additional backpressure to keep the valve from getting pushed too far into the valve body and wedging into the spring loops.

Freak incidence with a bad part having iffy clearances or is this something that happens once in a while?

While we're at it, where the hell can you buy stock TM parts?? I'd put an aftermarket high-flow valve into it (they seem to be more available), but I ... don't want to...

Also, how the hell do you take apart the outlet valves?? It looks like the tappet is steel and is affixed to the rest of the brass (bronze?) spindle somehow, but it didn't seem to want to unscrew. Press fit? Anybody know?

I'm guessing the valve is toast and rebuilding will be more of a piss-around than just buying a new valve. Yes? No?

Thanks all

For stock marui parts you can try impulse101.jp. They have tons of marui stuff in stock.

Thank you.

For future reference, I was able to unwind the valve spring from around the steel striking face (tappet), and gently re-shape it.

Not a perfect fix, and I had damaged the circumference of the metal valve components a bit while trying to disassemble it, so it still sticks, but less often and less dramatically than before.

I'm pretty sure this is just a lemon valve, not much to be done about it.
