how to open up TM M4A1AEG
how do i seperate the upper reciever from the bottom reciever. i know you have to poke out that pin near the stock, but it doesnt want to come off and I dont want to force it.
plz help! :shock:

take off pin near stock, and yes you will have to pull a bit...you wont break it...

Make sure you push the tabs in with your thumb and finger when you push it back together, otherwise one tab might try and seat on the outside of the lower reciever, and snap.

I would be a little more worried about breaking the tabs on a metal body since they dont have any flex (duh). Mine is a BITCH to take on and off.

what dozer is refering to are the "hole" structures that the initial pin that you removed goes through. these are very fragile and are notorious to crack. when you reassemble the upper receiver ensure that you first guide the tabs gently in before clamping it shut.

k. thnx for the advice, but i have another question.
how do you get the trigger assembly to stay in. when i put it in, it just pops back out. its a ver.2 gearbox.
