TOP M249 gearbox problem (angs kit)
I've got a TOP M249 with the Angs cylinder kit installed. Being the mechanically inclined fellow I am I've got it completely stripped apart. It's a fairly simple mechanism, but I'm having a hard time trying to figure out how the tappet for the nozzle works. I realize the gear that sits behind it moves it forward to close the brass barrel seal, but I can't figure out how the tappet moves backwards. Does it connect directly or indirectly to the gear? Is there a return spring that I'm overlooking? I didn't get the books with this thing, and I've tried in vain for the last few days to Google a parts list or even find TOP's website. Any help would be appreciated. I'd like to get it running soon...

If I remember correctly, the tappet plate is free moving and is pushed back by the spring loaded nozzle on the hopup unit. I can take apart my gun to get some pics if you need.

I got it worked out. The mechbox needed to be pushed back a little bit. Damned finicky thing.
