Stargate Uniforms
So I searched and couldn't find anything. Anyone know a site where you can buy the dark green Stargate uniforms? With or without the cool black vests?

Specifically I'd say that it looks like they are wearing the 2 pocket shirts made by Propper. Here's a link see if you agree.
http://www.botac.com/propbdu2pocs.html There are probably several places to get that pattern of uniform. |

We did a stargate uniform with a standard US OD uniform. Just add on the SG1 patch, black vest and black helmet, and that's it!

the jacket they use:
http://www.flightsuits.com/jackets_g8wep.html http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...7&category=135 Ripstop OD pants. Vest http://www.jffirearms.com/jffirearms...s/30VT08BK.jpg Army Issue is trying to find us a good version of the vest. The Ebay post with the REPLICA jacket. The Replijacket is custom made by a guy in Poland if I'm not mistaken..so if a guy wanted a custom camo in that pattern all you have to do is supply the material. hope that helps.

I keep wishing that someone would come along and outfit them with gear worn by real Air Force commandos. What is the closest AFSOC unit we could compare SG-1 to? Combat Contollers? Special Tactics Officers? Weather men?

The biggest problem with SG-1 is the totally ass, knock off BLACK tac vests. They are cheap, and NO ONE wears black in the field if they wish to stay alive.

Keep in mind that it's a TV show. They are ment to look cool.
If it were real, SG1 series would have lasted 1 episode. All SGC personnel would have been wiped out by the goa'uld.

It's just the different definitions of COOL, I guess. I personally think PJs look a bunch cooler than SG-1 does in their black shit-vests. But when civies picture 'speshul forshes' they imagine black vests. It's part of the schema.
