Whoa G&G AK
Just saw this on WGC: http://www.wgcshop.com/pcart/shopper...m=GG-AEG-RK104
Anybody see this coming? Of interest: "*Special Coating on Selector Plate and Receiver Cover, easy to create realistic scrated and aged look." So... it's easy to scratch? That's a selling point?

Anyone know if the stock is foldable? or if the cocking handle goes all the way back unlike the TM one?
Cheers, Alex |

Isn't this the AK where the cocking lever goes to the back every time you pull the trigger just like the real steel ones?

I doubt it, although would be a very VERY attractive feature. The guarder auto-back bolt seems dissapointing becasue it only moves like one third of the way of the real thing.

I should have one coming from Tru as i've been anticipated this gun for quite awhile.
The stock is not foldable as thats where the battery will be stored. There are talks from the AK modders to see what we can do about that but because of the top reciever design with the full length bolt a stick battery not be able to fit. nobody's got one yet so thats still up for debate. No the cocking lever does not go back with each shot, that is the guarder auto-back kit. Which from initial looks will not be fitable to this AK.

If it was a folding stock wouldn't it be AKS-47?

The gun is a copy of the AK104, the entire solid stock folds to the side. Or rather it should. Batteries in folding stocks isn't a problem, look at the G36KV stock.

It's really intriguing, look at the gas returning tube under the front site. Why the hell would they have made it like that and connected it to the bolt if it isn't able to cock back on each shot? And why put a huge ass spring like the real steel ones under the top cover? I'm pretty sure I read it somewhere that it would return the bolt after each shot.

I don't think the stock is foldable. I must say I like the marui one more. Especially the magazine. Old school wins in this case.

Well I personally prefer the AKM for looks.

Facts:
1. Stock is fixed. 2. Bolt does not blow back. 3. Bolt racks like the real thing, complete with gas piston. 4. Caliber of magazine is 7.62x39mm, NOT 5.45x39.5mm. 5. Actually comes with a TM-style metal AK hi-cap, NOT the polymer style shown. 6. I want one badly but need to pay off the CA249 first. |
