Buying First AEG ICS M4, TM M4, AK 47
Hi
New to AEG's and have been researching them for the past 2 days. and can't find a comparison between the TM M4 and the ICS m4 in terms of motor the EG1000 and the Turbo 2000. The ICS m4 comes with a metal body, whereas the TM does not... however, is there anyone that has tried both guns and in terms of upgradability, noise, Battery placements, PEQ units, RIS systems which gun is better, price can or cannot be a factor... Also out of the better one of those, how to they compare to the TM Ak-47 in terms of internal upgradability and reliability? Also performance wise I've been looking all over so find such answers but i come up with mixed reviews and remarks on all guns Can someone give me a more difinitive response, it'd be greatly appreciated, or point me to a link or forum wherei can find it without filtering through so many posts. Also, upgrade guides for the guns mentioned above? THanks in advance.... please don't flame me 8-O |

The ICS motors are crap... but they will certainly do for stock, I've never had a problem... just loud.
Metal body is great, can't go wrong there, the color looks funny in pictures... it all changes when you see it, and if you still don't like it, slap on some silicone, that makes it shine. Between the TM and the ICS, I'd go with ICS... that's me though, I don't want to fix any barrel wobble, I will buy a metal body anyway and the spilt mech box and decocking feature is icing on the cake. As for the M4 and the AK... I've handled them both, really, I could not give you an answer for this... they are both amazing... although, personally, I would recomend a wood stock for the AK, I think it would add so much... for me, but then again, I would 'metalatize' everything. Happy 222nd post!... To me!! |

The AK is supposedely one of the best TM guns out of the box, would be the one I would get if I was getting an AEG

If you're looking for internal reliability, the TM AK is the best choice so is all other Version 3 gearboxes. As for the M4's well if you're into modding it's a good choice but the TM one has that "barrel wobble" that you could fix by putting a metal body which the ICS version already has. TM M4's are kinda fragile because of the plastic tabs and such but you could put a metal body on it and it will be fine. Bottom line it's all about looks, I'd take the TM AK over any stock M4 but if you get it full metal then it gets down only to looks. That's just my opinion, do what ever you like with it.

-_-
I'd go for TM AK47 reasons:
gearbox 3 (Upgradable to a higher FPS without damaging the box) large battery works right out of the box made by marui so damn reliable There's a load of accessories available right now to make the AK47 sexy. |

well i have held a ICS M4 and used a TM M4 i had a problem with the selector switch the TM's are real lose i kept hitting it to safe or half way to auto from semi so it would lock up that would piss me off alot. the AK was the first gun i ever used strong build and nice weight. its a little long for indoor but after a game your uset to. but in the end and after trying both i got a G3-SG1 and i love it to death.

Check out the G&P and G&G products. They are one of the best on the market, solid, durable and full metal construction.

Go with what is simple and proven right out of the box; the AK. It may not be your last gun, but it sure is a good first gun.

Love my ICS. Honestly, it'll likely be the only gun I keep stock.
