Hey all, so I saw a video where someone added this guide rod to a WE 1911, however I hear that the MEU uses a different hop up than the regular 1911 so it might not work, I was wondering if this is correct or not?

I am pretty tired so it may have been something different but I remember reading that you needed to change to a hi-capa hop up unit for it to work.
Also, the half guide rod in the gun currently has an o-ring around it, I was wondering if this guide rod would cause additional wear and tear since it does not have one, or if the half one has an o-ring because it can come into contact with things more easily.
edit: I found a website in Canada that has this, and the price comes to about 30 bucks for both parts, not the same brand, but that price is in CAD which is awesome and they accept returns so I may buy this and test it out, if I don't get any responses. I haven't really been able to find any other results for anyone putting a full length guide rod in or even a WE-Tech full length guide rod part, I think some of their guns do have it though.
edit: no joy on the parts fitting, the guide rod is much too long, also a two piece, and the spring plug is slightly too large to fit, I didn't get a wilson combat one so maybe that's part of it but I'll have to see if marui ones will fit.
