Viperlube?

I'm from Winnipeg and can't find superlube anywhere! I went to acklands and they said that Viperlube Clear is cross compatible. It so happened that my dad had some lol. I applyed it to my GBB slide and i haven't seen any adverse effects yet. Does anyone know if this is as good as superlube? Will it hurt my GBB/AEG mechbox (I intend on using it regrease my mechbox)?

Anyone care to share what "SuperLube" is? I've never heard of it before.

(edit) Superlube is a general purpose lubricant that has teflon in it. I use lots of it where I work, so much so, the last time we bought it, we got a 5 gallon pail. It's great for your piston oring, lubing the inside of the cylinder and the piston rails. Viper is made by Loctite and I think it's more for high heat/high load applications. I know we sell it where I work, so I could look into it on Monday and see if it could be used in our guns or not.

Riley - I've been trying to find SuperLube in Winnipeg for almost 2 years. There are no distributors here that I can find, although at one time Canadian Tire did carry it (bit no longer). If you really want it, you'll have to go mail-order.

SuperLube is THE shit to use when assembling gearboxes. It won't get thick n' sticky like White Lithium grease does after awhile on gears and piston rails, and maintains it's lubricity better than low-weight silicone oil in my experience.

This is the stuff I've used and it's AWESOME.

Have you tried Napa or Autozone? I see that stuff all the time at local auto garages. They use it for CV joints and wheel bearings.

Yeah man, I called every PartsSource in the city and went down to NAPA and CTR personally, since they are both only a few blocks from my place. None of them had it either.

As I said earlier, I have a 5 gallon pail available. As long as I don't go hog wild with it, I'd be willing to part with some. I have several 2-3 tbsp screw top containers available to pack it in (roughly the size of a small pill bottle). Not sure if that'd be enough to be selling & shipping, but I could look into larger containers if anyone is interested.

Well Jamie, I did buy a tube last year from Bearing Boyz. 471-9009, 797-3943. Its not a shop, it was just some guy selling out of his home. Also, I don't know if he's still around. If you do reach him and buy a tube, get me one too.

FYI, Super Lube was discontinued and was replaced with ViperLube
Viper lube is availble in Winnipeg, I think the number is 668-8886

Couldn't tell you the difference. All I can tell you Viperlube is labelled food grade since it is used in many machines handling food such as coffee dispensers and slurpee machines.
