Tm g18c issue
So I just received my tm g18c and to my suprise when I got it it's a clear/smoked bottom pistol. I didn't even know they come like that and I even went back to check on the retailers site and doesn't specify tinted or polymer. So now my issue is do I try and return or is it gonna work just fine on green gas w/o self destruct in first game. It's my first dive in to the gas pistol world

Best to get a Guarder lower for about $80-100 bucks. |

Hang onto it and replace it with a guarder lower (as mentioned above) and also the slide. An aluminum slide will last you much longer if you're using propane/GG, the regular TM slide will crack under the force, supposedly. I'm currently using a TM g17 and the slide has done just fine with green gas, but I've only fired ~80 rounds with it. These are upgrades you would likely want to make regardless of whether the receiver is polymer or tinted.

Ya guess I'm stuck shopping for lower frame. I was not sure if you could switch them out or not. Just a little peeved thought was getting it for a good sale price and now gotta drop another hundred bucks just to make it usable.

I've been using my G18C with the stock tinted lower for about a year. Keeping in mind that you don't really use your pistol often it's been doing fine on GG for me. Once it breaks I'll look at the guarder lower but until then it's fine. I put maybe 10 mags a year through it so.....

I'm planning on using mine for pistol practice in the garage during winter months so I might as well order one and with my 3 weeks for it to ship from Asia unless someone can point me to a local shop with em

Tm g18c issue

B2 brings them in regularly. You'll want to pack the front post with JB Weld or similar before you even take your first shot... That is... If it's not broken already. Mine came "pre-broken".

Ya guess I'm stuck either with returning it or waiting for b2 to get some in. Just doing some reading and guess lower frames don't make it past customs too often. So instead of gambling my money I'll just go shoot my real steel.
