Anyone use this Charger? - FLAME charger
Does anyone use this charger?:
I saw it on WGC for $50, and thought, for such an amazing price, and for a charger with so many comparable functions to the $100+ TLP chargers, why have I not heard more about it? Does any one use this charger? Is there some secret flaw to it?

Nope other then the price to get it to canada.
$58 CDN + Tax/Duty $10 ish + $20 ish for shipping = $88, most likely more. Might as well just buy a charger here at a hobby store. You can get some good ones for under $100. |

you mean this one?
I was under the impression this was a standard, entry-level charger (basic options). The FLAME has more advanced options (like the TLP) and is in the same price range, which is what peaked my curiosity... (p.s. in all fairness to Scarecrow though, I must admit I've heard nothing but good reviews about his NPT charger.)

I think most of the descriptions up on the WGC page are just off the manufacturers page. The manufacturer of the Flame seems to have gone to great lengths to describe what similar products at similar prices do. I've never owned one, but I wouldn't be positively or negatively influenced by the lengthy description, its $4USD more than the TLP I bought for $44USD that handles the same functions. I wouldn't say it was an amazingly low price. If you ordered it from a Canadian airsoft retailer, then like the TLP, it would cost in the $120 CDN range. If you order it yourself, it'll probably be about $20 less, around $100 after conversion, tax, duty and freight.

you can go to a hobby shop that deals in rc cars and check out what they have. i picked up an mrc 959 for under $100. works great. and you don't have to worry about "what does it do" and stuff when you can see it firsthand.
