Anyone has exp with Socom Gear Barrett Rec 7 made by VFC?
searched online, this gun has been out for awhile but really little information.
So does anyone had any experience with this gun? Saw a post on the forum, but there was no answers and I don't want to dig it up... I was going to replace all my KA with shorter free float/out barrel. Then the stock to crane in order to rear wire the gun...then I saw this on gun toronto airsoft with all the stuff I wanted... This is probably my 5th AEG, so I decided maybe I should get a VFC but i wonder how this AEG is... Thanks for any input..

Like other VFC ARs it'll have excellent externals, and make one of the better upgrade platforms

did you end up using it?.. yeah, cause I thought of instead throwing like 300 upgrading mostly externally, might as well just get a full build where the internal is also better... edit: the problem i'm having is that they don't list any internal spec of this build, which is really hard for me to buy it

I own a Socom gear VFC omega x 12 fsp carbine. The rail is madbull, so it's good quality and the anodizing is nice (type 3 hardcoat, the kind you want). The VFC metal body is alright I guess, the anodizing rubs off pretty easily, since it's weaker type 2 anodizing. The gearbox could be better, but it's worked fine so far. Wiring is pretty crappy.
overall, 3/5.
