Which Tm pistol *LEFTY*
So Im in the market for a new pistol and I decided I want a TM pistol. Problem is, Im a lefty. I want something that has a lot of upgrades, and is somewhat lefty friendly.
It would be great If I had some suggestions but, here is what I had in mind. Glock 17- Great Amount of Upgrades , I like the look, slide release might be hard to reach but, I can power stroke. I prefer the mag release be on the left side. M&P - Has ambi slide release and once again, mag release on left side. I like it, just not too sure on after market support. HK 45- Ambi Mag release, not sure on slide release. Not sure on after market support either. So yeah, basically leave me some suggestions or, say which one I should go with What I want to upgrade my tm pistol into : Full metal slide or Slide and body ( depends on gun ) and super accurate and good gas consumption ( no 1911s unless someone can prove that they can get off a full mag with a metal slide.) |

TM does not make a usp. They make an hk 45 which is like the same thing almost. Let me know with what I should go with .

I'm loving the Tokyo Marui PX4 Storm. So much so I bought a second one. It has an adjustable grip and upgrades available from several companies, including but not limited to PDI and RA-Tech. The safety is ambidextrous, but the slide release isn't, though you can power-stroke the slide. I can't think of the mag release is ambidextrous or not.

I dont' think the px4 is lefty mag release. the real one might be interchangable but the tm wouldnt' have it is my guess.
Didn't I read somewhere that tm was going to put out a usp soon that doesn't have a shitty safety?

Does the HK 45 have a lot of upgrades?

As for the M&P, yes it has an ambi slide release. Also, at least on my We M&P, the mag release could be removed and swapped to the opposite side for a 100% lefty compatible bb thrower.

I like the desert eagle. But there is almost no upgrades for it.works great for a left hand, good on gas (2.5 on one fill) and fairly good at shooting, far and accurate.

willing to perform services in a dark alley that may or may not leave you satisfied for a title. GFE = 1, looks = 2, BBFS for an extra $50.

As a lefty I can tell you I can use almost any sidearm without trouble. You don't need ambi controls as a lefty, you can get by just fine power stroking the slide instead of depressing slide release. The only gun I will tell you to stay away from is any 1911 without a ambi safety.
the middle of your index finger can be used to release mags on most standard guns. Some glock can be switched to right side mag release Sig can aswell FNX 45 and PPQ are both full ambi as far as I know (not tokyo mauri) :P Last edited by localfreerider; April 11th, 2015 at 13:23.. |

M&P 9 you can switch the mag release to use for left hand. Both M&P9 and HK45 are still pretty new, but slowly getting third party support (UAC, Detonator, Ready Fighter etc.) Research, the internet is at your finger tips.

I'm teaching my self to shoot lefty with my Tm glock. Both the mag release and slide catch can be easily manipulated with one's index finger, and there are tones of upgrades available.
Obviously there's no external safety to deal with either. Really liking the platform, and I'm now pricing out a real steel partner for it |

I'm either going to go with the Glock or the HK 45. Pros and Cons of each would be great and your opinion on which one for me would be great as well.

Also an ETA on some aftermarket parts would be great.

px4 has an ambi mag release. You just need to make a quick modification to move the release backwards. But no, the slide release is on the left side only.
