Metal body on King Arms CAA m4
Hey there
So I have a King Arms CAA Licensed m4. It is basically just a KA m4 carbine, but with CAA trades and furniture. Am I correct in assuming the gearbox is the same as in others KA m4's? It has a polymer body right now and would like to put on a metal one. Would any metal bodies fit the KA? I have heard that G&Ps have fitment issues. Thanks a bunch! |

Yes gearboxes are the same. A V2 is a V2 is a V2. You only get problems if you want "special" functionality such as the VFC bolt release or the G&G EBB (which sucks anyways and you should disable it if you have one)
G&P bodies are only a problem if you want to put certain rail systems on them. You will either need a tap and die set or to use a G&P specific barrel nut.

Oh so with ''normal'' front ends G&P bodies should work fine?
Thanks a lot for the quick answer! |

G&P bodies are somewhat off-spec but impossible to know for sure because they switch out their molds all the time / over-use their molds. I've had difficulty lining up the selector switch and safety block in some instances but some modification should make it work, if you know what you're doing.
