Fortis F1 mount alternatives
Is there a cheaper version of the Fortis F1 mount available out there? A repro of some sort perhaps? And if someone has first hand experience with this mount, how do you like it?

I don't know of any repros. The mount is pretty good, I don't know what else to say. Its a mount, and it mounts real steel optics. Doesn't do anything fancy, isn't QD.
Make sure you remember that it only fits real steel T1 spec optics. |

Thanks guys!
The repro grip is a plus. My budget was under $50 since I was planning to buy the primary arms md06 red dot. Too bad primary arms is OOS after their $50 sale. Now it's like $99-$125 everywhere. meh |

I also thin EBAIRSOFT has them, and they include shipping, so check them out too. (Grips,).

If it's $50 all in I'd just wait for this to restock.
http://airsoftdepot.ca/catalog/produ...roducts_id=105 It's as close as you'll get.

Just a heads up though, I currently use the RS Fortis grip, and I've played with the repro ones. The repro ones are actually REALLY terrible repros... You can actually see where the paint was dripping on the drying rack. If you don't care about quality and just want the look then its a good buy.

The PA MD-06 isn't in production anymore so if you find any left over stock for cheap, grab it. I've still got one from a while back just sitting in its box waiting for a build to slap it onto.
The new MD-RBGII (2moa dot vs the old 3moa) and the FBGII should be pretty much the same quality wise but Primary Arms RDS' are somewhat of a bitch to get in country since PA doesn't ship outside of the US.

Redwolf also has the Fortis PTS stuff. I'd be quite worried about the durability of the F1 Repro, as there isn't much to the mount. If you dropped your gun, and it landed on the mount, I'd be concerned.
I love my F1 mount. It was expensive, but it helped cut a few grams off the weight of my rifle, and that's awesome.
