KJW 1911 gas mag issue

Hi guys ... Why would my gas mags only hold enough gas for 3 to 6 rounds before Im out. Both mags are brand new. I also have co2 mags for her and they seem to last just fine. About 60 to 80 rounds... KJW kp-07 1911

Sounds normal to me, but you can try and "shim" the rubber gas route, there should be a thread on it
on my 1911 co2 model, I found that the nozzle is a bit thicker and caused the chamber to stick and vent gas so get a nozzle for propane guns even I replaced it, I still get about twelve shots, due to the small gas reservoir of the 1911 style

Coincidentally, I have been testing a bone stock KJW MEU recently.
With my shimmed TM MEU mags I'm able to get 25- 26 shots out of one gas load.
However, cycling power is greatly reduced after the 15 shot.
I noticed that the piston head didn't seal very well. Something that I plan to upgrade in the future. Furthermore there was noticeable friction between the barrel lugs and slide.

I also noticed that slide had lots of resistance when pulling out of the hop up chamber, but it wasn't as severe.

I'm hoping that after the upgrades, I'll be able to get a full mag out with lock back.

No worries xD
A bit of more info.

I tried my un-shimed TM mags in the KJW MEU... The result only 10 shots before empty.
Shimming definitely makes a big difference it seems.

Mine had this same problem, what I did was replace the piston head with a Nineball Dyna Piston Head, as well as fill up the mags for a bit longer. If I'm plinking at home and shooting rapidly, I would get 10-15 shots per mag. If I am in a game scenario where I'm only shooting it periodically, I could get the entire mag to fire.
