What sized vest?
What sized vest should I be looking at? I am hoping I get something that covers part of my chest and midsection. I would prefer a customizable vest.
I am 5'10/11" I have a 54 inch chest, size 50ish waist. I keep trying to find that perfet vest. Normally they are too tight or don't fit or whatever. It seems I go to the store and try stuff on and never find the right vest. This happens to me with certain clothing items. The end results is having to purchase stuff online constantly. |

What kind of vest are you talking about? External/internal kevlar vest with carrier or w/o carrier? Replica or real rig with plates? I don't mind real things but to most people they heavy and uncomfortable. Unless you've spent time in real thing I suggest getting one with no armor plates.

I would like a replica carrier. Preferable without armour plating or atleast removable plating. I had an OTV interceptor a long time ago and I remember it being fairly small, uncustomizable and incredibly bulky because of some foam padding.

Just got the LBX Armatus. Great PC but it's on the smaller side. There are two sizes available though, M and L so the L might work for you. I'm the same height but with a 46" chest and 34" waist and the M I find is perfect. Not as much molle as some like but the exchangeable front panel is awesome for quick changes. I have one set up for M4 and another set up for MP5. Changes in about 30 seconds.
I have found when carrying gbbr mags though the really thin padding is not stiff enough to hold its shape and bends in the middle. What I've done is taken 1/4" HDPE plate and cut it to fit inside. Super stiff and fairly light weight. Used a heat gun to help bend it at the sides so it's not completely flat. |

The LBX Armatus looks great but it only comes in grey or black. I was hoping for something in Tan or Coyote Brown or even Multicam.

No problem man. It looks great but yeah Large only has Mas/Wolf Grey and Black which would be awesome if I was doing an indoor kit, but I will be outdoors lol.
I found this: http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/combat-ge...ml#.VJRAUMB0MA Its cheap. I know the quality will be super low. I am fine with that for a season. I get the whole buy once. But in this case I want a cheap starter vest that can be swapped out later for a better one of my choosing. Always good to have a backup vest too. |

The otv will fit you, you just had the wrong size. Theyre one size big and go up to XXXL lol
But they are pressure cookers. |

The OTV's I have found for sale claim that they only fit up to a 50 or 52 chest at best. I am 54 on a good day.
I don't care too much about the pressure cooker part. Maybe it will cook off some of my extra weight haha. I was looking at this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/TACTICAL-AIR...item4addf81992 Or This: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Airsoft-Tact...3D321551604114 But it says it only fits up to a 47. Honestly I just want a cheap vest for the time being. I don't want a super expensive piece of gear. That way I can upgrade later if I feel like continuing with the hobby.
