Pts mkm gbbr

Didn't see any other threads on this specifically.

Just curious if anyone has had any experience with this model in particular. Looking for notes regarding performance, external quality, internal quality, comparison to other gas platforms, etc. I know this is based off the KWA LM4 design, so owners of the LM4 are welcome to leave their input.

I'm planning on this to be my next gun so I'd appreciate any input as well.

My first gun and GBB was a KWA LM4. It wasn't perfect OOTB. You had to do a lot of dremeling, and filing to get the thing to work fine OOTB. Without all the "minor mods" you would get double feeds if you shot in single to fast, and especially in full auto.

The magazines were also a handful to work on when they leaked, not as easy as the WE magazines. They are held with silly pins which you need a proper punch size to knock them out. The magazines are also quite heavy, heavier then the WE magazines.

Carrying around 7 was not fun at all.

I haven't shot the mega arms, nor looked into much of it, but hopefully they fixed most of the internal issues.

I've held it, it's a nice finish, and looks very pretty, but the price tag is about $600ish in Toronto, soo..... mags will run you around 60+ too :P.

I got the Asian version of the Magpul edition LM4 with
Pmags

Mags are heavy as duck at 1.6lbs each but sturdy and add to realism
The stanags are supposed to be lighter

I found leaks to be easy to fix personally, at least on the pMags

Construction is solid, receiver is (or close to) twice as thick as my We M4. The only thing is that the upper receiver is made in three parts: two halves and the rail. Some people had issues because of this apparently, mine is solid as rock still and no wobble out anything. I don't know if the Mkm is made the same way

Recoil is great, fps consistent enough (with npas, considered it's gas), all in all a great gun. Didn't get much issues with mine in two years gaming it (and I bought it used)

And (shameless plug) btw I'm selling mine to fund other things :P

The PMAGS were always better then the STANAG, just a bit more expensive, always out of stock, and two rounds less.. 38 vs 40. I think the Asia edition was better then the US anyways :P Just KWAUSA wanted to do NOTHING with it, even on their forums they would remove threads ASAP as soon as someone mentioned it haha.

Anyways, all my money is going towards my APS CAM870 -_-

As far as I know, the upper is still a three piece "monolithic" upper. Receiver, top rail, and RAS/barrel set.

Have seen complaints regarding the top rail on the upper coming loose after awhile, but then there's also just as many people saying "mine's solid with no issues".

The receiver quality and look is what really draws my attention to the MKM. I know with WE rifles there are more aftercare receiver options available, however I don't have them in front of me to compare to stock WE receivers nor PTS receivers.

I'm torn as the overall quality of the PTS stuff seems better, but there seems to be much more market availability for aftercare WE internal and external upgrades. The magazines are more available and less expensive as well.

I have the LM4 and love it. Only mod I had to do was open the return spring hole a bit on the nozzle. Other than that it's been a great gun and yes the Pmags are easier to work on.

Now I'll have to stop reading these threads or I won't want to sell mine anymore, or regret having sold out after it happens ,:P

Biorage: funny as I want to sell it in order to get a Cam870 as well :P

PTS GBB are a variation based guns on MA/ AR15 platform. It represent the continued evolution of Airsoft guns as training systems.
It function similar as KWA.

Mine's getting shipped today. I'll do a side by side comparison with my Magpul LM4 in the next little while.
