Busted VFC AEG charging handle / bolt catch
So I noticed that the bolt on my VFC M4 AEG was refusing to lock open when I pulled back on the charging handle.
I pulled the upper off and found that the tab on the "charging handle arm" was broken clean off (along the red line, see pic). During the process I also stretched the crap out of the charging handle spring, but replacing that shouldn't be a big deal. My questions are as follows 1) Is it possible to buy JUST the charging handle arm from somewhere as opposed to a whole new assembly? Is so does anyone know where. 2) Will any old charging handle arm work with the VFC M4 functional bolt catch or do I need one specifically made by VFC for VFC? I actually don't know a lot of other AEG brands that feature functional bolt catches, and whether they would work in a VFC. Thanks! |

the spring you can salvage... just cut off a section and bend out a new ring to loop around the screw.
just be careful you don't crossthread the screw and snap that bitch off in the upper.

I could likely send you the arm if you can't find it elsewhere.

Sounds good. Hope so too!
I'm in a similar state with one my my charging handle springs. I forgot that the reciever of my custom build doesn't just slide off after removing the front pin, like my G&G, ended up stretching it out |
