KAC PDW Modification Questions
Good evening gentlemen,
For the longest while I've contemplated in purchasing a KAC PDW (http://airsoftdepot.ca/catalog/produ...oducts_id=1652) I'm not a particular fan of the dimple/ golf ball barrel and have an idea for switching it out. The ???s that strikes me is how the outer barrel attaches to the upper receiver (my understanding is that it's a simple design like the mad bull barrels where a single set screw holds in it place) Correct if I'm wrong please, I welcome all input. Secondly - No, I am not doing the mod to fit a small Lipo inside on the barrel. I had hopes to use a PEQ battery box (likely a PEQ 16) mounted normally and have the wires run inside the rails and up into the box thus eliminating any exposed wires. Yes, I'd be limited to PEQ batteries but that no issue. If anyone who's done any mods on the PDW, I'd appreciate your input and would adore any pics of said work so I can get an idea. 2 screws on the bottom of the hand guard near the base of the upper reciever.
Last picture on AirsoftDepot shows them. I do not believe there is any replacement outer barrels for it however. |

The 2 screws you mention seem to hold a base TO the underside of the rail fore end for which the outer barrel attaches to. I'm more interested in knowing IF this is the same as what Mad bull does with their barrels.
Worst case - give me my good machining file and my dremmel and I will make a barrel fit for this bugger.

No it is similar but different. You MAY be able to modify one to fit but I doubt it, If you want Pogue, you can always swing by my place and I can tear my pdw down to show you.
