Any Gun-Doc that's still active in Montreal?

I've been looking through the dun doc list ; and none of the gun docs are still active in the forum.. Unless im wrong and they've been lurking in the shadows

Meanwhile i'm waiting impatiently. I can explain what I'm experiencing with my newly M4 from King Arms Sig 516

I had bought this new M4 3weeks ago and it wasn't shooting any bb; dry firing. I went through all the basic troubleshooting methods i've found in this forum and no luck was found. So I went to a airsoft retail that offered repairs for aeg. They found an broken o-ring (the cylinder head) and a cracked nozzle. So they replaced the cylinder head, the nozzle and the hop up rubber.

It was working fine until I installed myself a new pistol-grip for the gun (King Arms A-TAC) and It was doing a dry fire on every other shot that shooted a bb (+1,+0,+1,+0..etc) in semi and auto. I went back to the airsoft retailer and was said that the grip wasn't compatible with the m4 and it was pulling the gearbox hence the dry fire on every other shots. So I said alright i'll just put back the og stock pistol grip but now it does 3 dry fire then shoots a bb .. rinse and repeat.

help?

fixedcracked nozzle, riped piston oring; hop up bucking badly shaped; changed them all and works great again

don't tighten the screws as much on the grip see if that changes things.

Well the gearbox is held by the large body pin in the back, a small pin over the trigger, and most of the time there is also the buffer tube screw that screws into the spring guide, so I kind of doubt that the gearbox would be pulled enought by 2 tiny screws so that it doesn't feed. You said you've gone through each troubleshooting, may you specify which one you tried?

Usually feeding issues are due to: Over hop-up, brand of mags that doesn't fit a particular gun (try other brand), mags that needs to be pushed forward (so the hop-up tubes reaches further into the mag), broken/misplaced/bending tappet plate, rate of fire too fast (install a delayer on the sector gear)...

unless you installed the grip as part of a complete rebuild, where it went on before those other screws, pulling the GB into the lower possibly too far or not far enough...?

there are lots of things you can do...you may have to tear it down and do some shimming.

my 2 cents anyhoo.

the grip screws can misalign a gearbox... so can the buffertube screw.

With the gun upsidedown, drop BBs into the feed tube... does it shoot like that? put a finger or thumb over the hole cause if you don't they pop back out. If they don't drop in by gravity, how about with a bit of pressure with your thumb?

If it shoots with your thumb/finger just making sure they don't pop out, then you need to look at how your mags feed.

Do pardon me; for not mentioning the troubleshooting methods I went through before going to a airsoft retailer to get it repaired and etc. But I'll gladly list what I did in the meantime right down below.
  • As lurkingknight asked me; I did try to feed it with one bb upside down manually and there was still a dry fire up top 3 times and then it shoots (2seconds as interval to every trigger pull)
  • I have two kinds of magazine; one that came with the gun which is a high cap wheeling thing (LOL sorry i'm not sure how to call it) and a high cap Flash mag which is a string to be pulled and it feeds the whole mags. But both mags are fine before anything they are feeding correctly. Even pressing on it against the m4 (inserted) and same results with the dry firing.
  • Jamming rod! used it and nothing was within the barrel and such
  • and now about he grip I have had to change; the process on removing the original grip and motor was fine and smooth; as for inserting the new grip; man I had a hard time to insert it; the new grip itself was too tight to fit in directly. So I had to press on it several times onto the GB
  • Battery is fully charged
  • as for checking the internals; I didnt have the chance yet; went to a hardware store and bought a hex key set. The magazine release .. it didn't take a 1.3 mm and I have to go back again to the store to find if there is any smaller than this hex key

this is so far I can think of for the basic troubleshooting i'm capable of doing; as for opening up (if ever I find a a hex key any smaller than 1.3 mm) I never touched myself the internals aside the tech-guy at the airsoft retail

did you try and fill the chute? 1 might not drop into the chamber because it's possible for the nozzle move backwards and forwards in the loading motion to be faster than the bb can drop. That's why you fill the chute and put a bit of pressure on the stack to simulate the mag being there.
