Looking for VC/NVA reenactors for a battle demo, May 30.
Hi all. I've been tasked to round up participants for ww2 battle demonstrations at the Ontario Regiment Tank Museum's annual living history event in Oshawa, 31 May. That's all in hand, but the organizers have also asked me to put out a call for people equipped to do a Viet Cong/NVA impression for the Vietnam scenario they're doing. Ideally you should have your own PAL and weapon capable of firing blanks, but if you're not armed you can always take a hit early.
This is a big annual event with LOTS of tracked military vehicles, and is a good opportunity to let the general public know what reenacting is about. Please contact me if you're interested in taking part. http://www.ontrmuseum.ca/OMVAevent.htm |

Sounds interesting. Do you need South Vietnamese soldier ?
That's the impression I have instead of NVA. |

Are you a PAL holder? Do you have a period weapon capable of firing blanks? They might be able to use you, in that case. Even if you don't participate in the battle demo it's a good event just to come out and display.

Sorry I am not a PAL holder. But have the period airsoft guns e.g. M2 carbine, M655, Stoner, M16 early version.

OK, well, I recommend going to the Ontario Regiment website I linked in the first post, asking for Cliff Nyenhuis, and indicating your availability. They'll tell you how they can slot you in. If you're a non-firer it's not the end of the world, you just may end up taking a hit in the initial exchange.
