Bearings for Spartan Doctrine 40mm shells?

Howdy friends!

I've lot one of the cylindrical 'ball' bearings from one of my Spartan Doctrine shells, and none of the 'junk' shells and/or gear I have lying around have the same elongated shape.

(there's the 3 in the middle, need a 4th).

What are these called? They're probably dirt cheap but my Google-fu is weak in this case. Can't find them at the hardware store, what going to hit up a hobby place but thought to ask here first.

IRC, 2 3mm ball Bearings are the same size as those. I much rather the cylindrical style then to the 2 balls. but I was also not able to find them. I would assume though someone manufactures it, as I doubt Super China Company X Spends the time to manufacture the round ended rod.

I guess you can use M3x4mm dowel pins...

Not sure what shape the end it, but worst case you can most likely round it slightly to work if it's too square.

Or use 2 3mm bearings and grease. 99% of all grenades work that way, I can't see why it would not in this case.

Thanks for the ideas guys. I’ll try the 2 x 3mm bearings idea first; if that doesn’t work then the dowel + sealing the hole.

I'd rather 75% capacity than zero.

Don't know anything about these 40mm shells but those "bearings" look like tumbler pins you find in locks to me. Can't really tell without a higher res pic though.
