Ca aug

Hey guys, I have a CA AUG here that only fires Auto. Other than that, it seems to function just fine. Anyone here have any experience with CA AUGs?

Normally, I'm pretty good at fixing my guns, but the AUG is a whole new ballgame to me.

Trigger contact may be spotted. Does it shoot full auto on half pull or only on full pull?

Half pull should be semi; full pull auto.

I'm aware of how the trigger on an AUG works. The reason for posting was not to ask where my fire selector is or how it/the trigger works

The trigger is not working correctly and I've been unable to locate the source of the issue and correct it, that is why I made the thread.

Does the motor click like it's trying to turn over on semi? Or is it just completely dead when the trigger is half pulled?

Yeah sad to say it's a common problem on duel stage triggers for this to happen. Either the first set of contacts broke off or are so corroded they don't work anymore. I would take apart the trigger assembly in the lower receiver and look for any signs of heavy wear

I was clearly fooled by your completely new ball game statement.

Shame on me.

Its been a while since I took apart a Aug, but it's mostly just a bunch of screws in the lower receiver you'll need to take apart. Sorry I can't give a more detailed take down haha I'm sure if you Googled it there would be a takedown video somewhere

Remove the buttplate, then remove the 2 screws on the plate inside, remove the inside plate and pry the gearbox out. There's couple of videos on youtube on how to do it.

Thanks everyone for the info. I'll take it apart and check it all out.

It's going to be fun finding parts I'm guessing, considering I'm not finding much in my searches so far. I might just take her to a gun doc when I start getting payed by my new job :P

Other than this, I'm freaking loving this gun, the barrel is so short but it's actually not. It's fantastic, I plan to turn her into a laser. Probably get a few barrels if possible so I can just swap.
