Ztactical Comtac IV
So i bought the new gen of COMTAC today and im not sure of what i just did.
everyone know that the Gen II Peltor gives headache after a few hours playing with it. The sound control isn't very effective with the replica and its very warm in the summer ... BUT the look ! For me, its a very fashionable piece of gear. So i bought the new gen from Ztactical. This one look alot more comfortable and its allow me to have real ambient sound without losing my headset. I would like to know if any of you tried those headset yet ? i know its kinda new on the market but its also my first time i buy a product from Z tactical and i heard they aren't too bad in quality. What you guys think ? [/URL] |

Most people wear the comtacs to protect the ear cartilage as that doesn't heal....
Also having to constantly re-adjust the earbud doesn't sound fun to me.

Hey,
Not sure if you're still wanting to buy them but I have a pair and I can tell what I think about them. First the sound quality reproduction is surprising being a Chinese clone. The earbuds that do come with it are terrible but I had some Shure earbuds lying around which give me a perfect fit. My only negative about these headsets is the foam. I haven't tried the earlier versions of the Comtac series but I can tell you that the foam on these suck. I have yet to find somewhere that sells replacement gel pads, once I find them I'll buy it no matter the cost. Besides that the idea of the earbuds is really great especially when it's hot out or if you want to hear natural sound on one ear and comms in another. It's a very versatile piece of equipment. Hope this helps! |
