As the title says...

VFC Scar-H
Fully charged 11.1v lipo

Does the cycle rate and full automatic ROF seem a little slow?

Check out the video:

Yes, that's slow.

My M4 fires about the same with a 8.4v battery.

Are you sure it's 11.1 and not 7.4v?

I'm with Kos-Mos here, it's really slow, sounds like 15 rps (no way to know unless you fire a full second continuously).

Which kind of spring are you using? I think it is a little slow.

I'd look at electrical resistance before the spring. Sure, the spring will affect it a bit, but will mostly affect the first/second shot, after that the motor with have it's speed and run.

OP: Care to show the battery/website in question? That could help us.
EDIT : Too slow :P

What kind of spring is in the gun? What FPS is it shooting? That will have a huge effect on ROF.

Electrical resistance is hard to check especially on the internet :P
For VFC scar, maybe the carbon building on the trigger contacts can be an issue. VFC like to put some "conductive grease" on stock trigger contacts, and that sometimes turn into carbon residues.
Even without that grease I found both of the two VFC scars I used to have tend to have the trigger contacts getting dirty faster than usual.

To OP: What's the condition of that gun? New/used? When was the last time the trigger contacts being cleaned/replaced? How many rounds have it been fired using this battery or other battery?

I havent been able to chrono the gun but it has either an m110 or m120 spring

It is lightly used

The battery is brand new and the last time the trigger contacts were serviced is unknown

Oh but the question was to him, not specifically directed to you It sure is hard to check through a computer. Still, I'd worry about the electrical path before the spring!

I'll let you handle the rest since you're on a good start :P

While I don't want to recommend a single person, try to look here. http://airsoftcanada.com/showthread....milton&page=18

You can do a search with your city in this thread and find someone to help you

Other than the ambi controls, it's really not that hard to open.

I know VFC used to have "self-centering" gears. Basically a thrust bearing with a spring.
If that is jammed or misaligned, it will cause excessive resistance and might slow down the gun.

I have test-fired my M4 today to make sure, and yes, it's basically the same sound and speed. I chronied it at 16rps.
