A few questions about airsoft
Well im a new member here and a few things caught my eye in the airsoft community so i came here looking for awnsers but first off..
Im not gonna lie to any of you, i am 15 and underage for airsoft and i understand. Im gonna have to live with what i can see here the Dreaded Clear airsoft Canadian tire guns to play with my friends. Last year i thought about getting an airsoft cuz i talked about it with my father who thinks its cool ( since airguns have changed alot from his days ) but after alot of thought i didnt want to buy any for a few reasons, 1. Its expensive and i only have a summer job 2. Im not supposed to have it and well the last thing i want to do is fuck up and get Airsoft banned 3. I would be hatted by alot of people So im only here to ask these two questions Whats the status on the c15 bill? i read an article on planet airsoft giving info on it, but that was in june, is it about to pass or something ? has it been disaprooved? im worried because ive also hear about a bill in the Uk for banning airsoft. Im gonna have to wait til im 18 to airsoft and i just want to know if it will be still there when i become 18 Secondly, what happened to Springers ? springers seemed like the good thing to get since its easy, cheap and good to play with family and friends but ... everysinge canadian retailer has them on " discontinued " or " out of stock " Sorry if i piss anyone off.. |

Just read and keep reading, ask questions after reading, be responsible and wait, etc. You might be able to link up with some guys that will "sponsor" you, aka. be responsible for your well being and actions on the field, and if the field allows your parents to sign the waiver, etc. Wouldn't be the first time, the rules across the board can bend in some cases. Keep your head about you, you might luck out. I see by reading your post that you DO have some maturity about you, and it was well worded. AND, you were honest about your age, etc. Good stuff! That kind of attitude goes a long way around here, and in this sport, so keep it up.

Thanks, but i'd rather not play on the field until a long time of familiarisation with a few airsoft guns.
Not to be rude, but does anyone know the awnsers to my questions ( realy sorry if this comes off as rude ) |

The bill; check the Department of Justice website.
Springers are only sold to those 18 and over too, and are in low supply to reduce the amount of mis-use. I know you cant see the buy/sell forum, but if all was that horrible there would be no Retailers in the list at the top of the page. Almost every week someone new comes here and freaks out that this is illegal. We're still here, that says something, right? So relax, contact local fields (2 in Ottawa), get your parents involved and see what happens. Oh, getting familiar with guns outside of an authorized field is a mistake. Only play where you are supposed to, specially in Quebec. Nobody will sell you a gun until they know you, and to know you... you must go to fields and meet people. See the catch? |

Well i see, my parents are seperated so it would be only 1 parent that would check it out, so just so i get this straight, you cant buy from here enless people know you, but you can still buy from retailers (like 007 airsoft for example ) when your of age ?

Retailers will check your age, and you only need one parent to fill your paperwork.
You can buy tons of stuff right here if you are of age. |

Combine, seeing as how you are local to me (Aylmer, a simple border away), PM me and/or add CDN_Stalker@hotmail.com to your MSN Messenger. I'll explain things to you, answer questions, and keep you in good graces within ASC. Painless actually. I've helped other new guys out with info, I can help you out as well.

Most game here in Québec are 16+ with parental signature.. Other more interesting games are 18+ because of the extra hardcore shits
If you realllllly can't wait to see guns upclose, you could come with your parents at Action Commando and zone27. We won't let you play, but we could let you shoot some BBs on the range and let you see the gear and stuff. Just check the game schedul section for the dates and time. To my eyes, you made a good impression and you look like a promising futur player. So while you are aging, read here everyday. You will learn a lot just by reading. Don't rush things, take your time and follow the wave.

I'm in the same case Combine...
More... I'm younger than you... Maybe one of the younger of ASC, i'm only 14. On these time I'm only searching info and all... I'm interested since 5 or 6 months already, I know that I won't play any games before 16, And will probably only sharp shoot on target at home... After months of looking, i'm passionate now... Of course it's lot of money at my age... but i want one... And, i've shoot with one... My 16 years old friend have an MC51 and one 14years old friend have recently ordered one from RangersAirsoft and will receive it this october. |
