M4 Support Gun - Ideas needed!
I own an M4 S System. I would like to turn it into a support weapon similar to a SAW. I'm thinking it would need a bipod of some sort and a box mag. My question is, is there even such a thing as an M4-sized support weapon, and what else can I do to turn it onto one? Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks, now I'm really sold! I'll have to see if something like that is available for airsoft! If you know of a conversion kit for the TM M4, let me know.

hehe that is Kuneho's Sparrow 5.56 LMG. it is jinspired by the Ares Defense Shrike 5.56 system.
The reason it is called Sparrow 5.56 AWS is because the team that person belongs to is called the Sparrow Unit. Custom built in the Philippines baby!~ :-D mabuhay~ -===== sorry there is no kit readily available. it is a custom job.

Daes made one and has the specs he got off of the net. He has made an M16 into a support gun. He cut a cardboard box in half when I was at his house...fairly impressive. PM Daes and get all the info off of him... don't believe him when he says it east cause he loves doing this kind of stuff.

Groombug, you raise an excellent point. My M4 currently has Systema metal piston/piston head, metal bushings, EG1000 motor, PDI 170% spring, and Systema Torque-up gears. When I do the conversion, I would probably step down to a 130% and use .12g BBs. Does all this sound good so far?

Don't use .12, use .2 at the least. If I were you, I'd replace your mechbox with a Systema Progear. Your TM one will crack eventually, might as well replace it before it happens.

Progear, eh? Is that a direct swap with the factory mechbox?

more or less. no destructive mods are required, but you WILL need to re-shim as well as take off every single screw, switch, spring, plate, wire, spring, spring, spring, screw, gear and spring off the old gearbox and swap it over.
