Paintball and Airsoft, the unholy conversion kit
So umm, when do you guys think of this hitting one of your field?
http://www.airsoft2day.com/news/1238...converter.html Manufactured in the USA, the 656 Spyder Converter by Morph Fire allows users to convert their paintball marker into a 6mm caliber airsoft gun with a muzzle velocity of 550+ fps and a 900 rpm cycle rate. Constructed of long-strand glass-enforced urethane, the converter will fit 2008 or newer Spyder Fenix, Eletra, Pilot, Sonix, Xtra, Victor, and Aggressor paintball markers; powered by nitrogen, CO2, or compressed air, the system is minimally affected by external temperatures.[1] Supplied with a carrying case, a 260 round capacity magazine, and a starter pack of 6mm metal bbs, the product is intended for individual target/can shooting rather than skirmishing. Available for about 200 USD, Amazing Paintball Gun Blows Up Objects - YouTube

I've heard of a similar conversion kit, but for the T68 marker which is a magazine fed paintball gun similar to a M4. When converted, it runs like a Polar Star or an escort gas gun. Don't know if it'll work with the new 468 model though.

Because paintball guns can adjust the reg pressure, you can actually shoot a 0.43 bb at 850fps+ with a high operating pressure.
That would be called hardball. Last edited by SuperHog; November 28th, 2013 at 14:51.. |

Why are you guys worries about the Velocity of the thing?
550fps is nothing THAT crazy; above most fields limit yes, but it is pretty common to have an AEG or GBBR or spring rifle to shoot at these velocity. My LM4 can shoot at 550 with .28 if I open the NPAS all the way; above what these guys advertise (550 being on .2s for that kit according to the article) |

Exactly.
A fair few systems now have this ability, P*, GBBR's/Daytona's, etc..

They are worried about a sprayer coming straight from Paintball with that thing, By the time you get Daytona gun, Polarstar, or a GBBR - you usually have some airsoft experience
