Got my Magpul ASAP plate - But no Castle-nut wrench :(

What up ASC!

Is there a way to install this Magpul ASAP plate without a castle-nut wrench (if that's what's it called)

on a VFC HK416 CQB?

You can try using a punch and hammer to tighten it. It will cause some deforming of the castle nut, but it will do the job.

Appreciate the input Ghost, but it sounds a bit primal

Id like to keep everything in working order

I also have to unscrew it and re-assemble everything

Is there any other method other than a risky one?

for AEG a bit of trial and error but, you could use the screw inside the buffer tube to torque down body-asap plate-castle nut group

You can also use those rubber strap wrench. They won't damage the nut and you'll get a tight fit. But the best way and the recommend way is to use a proper castle nut wrench.

It's called a spanner wrench btw, and you can get one at the hardware store.
