M14 hop up unit
Hello everyone!
I am looking to replace the stock hop up unit in my m14. I was hoping to get some feedback or suggestions on which unit to buy. I'm running the CYMA m14 full length version. I'm looking to make this into a DMR. I've already swapped the stock barrel for a prometheus TBB(6.03, and I have a friend changing the piston head and cylinder in a drop in gearbox i picked up. Also, he will be changing the spring to a prometheus m120 non-liner spring. I'm not getting very good distance out of the gun. With the hop up all the way, it shoots about 150 ft. I'm using a matrix bucking. Accuracy is pretty good, but i notice that the BBs curve to the right without wind after about 60 feet. I've read, in some cases with m4s/m16s and aks, that swapping out the stock hop up for a lonex version can greatly improve accuracy. I can't seem to find a lonex version for the m14, however. I'm leaning more towards a TM hop up... This is where you fine people come in! Thanks, and regards. N. |

you might have to do some googling but i have a sneaking suspicion the echo 1 -m14 is a rebranded cyma m14 with a better hop up.

The CYMA hop up unit is surprisingly good. What hopup rubber/bucking are you using?
