Daypack w/hydro?
Anybody know of a decent daypack with hydration capabilities? In need of one for day hikes when i hit the ground in Guatemala this summer. Pricetag is open, but prefferably around the 50-75$ range, and if at all possible, in tan/CB for airsoft use after the trip
Thanks in advance, --Jay |

So, after some igging around The top two candidates are the Rush MOAB 10, and the Rush 12. Both packs are made by 5.11 so are of good quality. If anybody has any experiences please post em up, as well as recomendations for the packs posted, or alternatives. Keep in mind that i must buy local as i leave on the 8th of july.

of those two choices, the rush 12, by a long shot
you absolutely do not want a single shoulder strap pack, especially if you're going to have any weight in it, its very uncomfortable =/ |

Thats what im thinking too, but i do like the quick and easy access of it, which is the only reason its in there haha.

Read the reviews of the rush packs;
I was looking at the same one (more specifically the rush 10 though) and reviews were not so good at all, kind of a hot or miss thing from what I read; lots of complains about he stitching among other things Maybe the rush 12 has better reviews though I personally ended up with a Tactical Tailor removable operator pack. Love it, lightweight (small, if that's what you want), and the ability to snap it on the back of a PC or vest is awesome Construction is on par with other TT products, so pretty good and solid And yes, has an hydro pouch |

Ive looked at that one as well Paradox, i believe the turnoff was that i dont think it would make it to me in time. It is a great little pack from what i hear and read though. Might pick it up eventually haha.

Personally have all of the RUSH series. The RUSH12 while slightly bulky for a 12 hour pack is able to hold my 3L bladder, light change of clothes, laptop, all of my chargers for my various electronics and some small items. Mind you, all of the small items that I carry are put into 6x6 or 6x10 GP pouches to keep everything organized and easily accessible; not using the pouches may yield you additional space, however the pouches allow me to attach them to the exterior of the bag in the even that I have additional cargo to add to the main compartments. I don't know that I'd say the RUSH series is the best bang for buck, but it suits my purposes and the bags are more than durable enough for my hiking, camping and travelling uses.

Well, considering im needing it for day hikes in Guatemala, then after those 6 weeks are done itll be my tac-pack, it sounds like the Rush 12 may be a decent choice then?

rush 12. I was moping around japan with mine half/full loaded depending on how much shopping I did... didn't even feel the weight, which is impressive because the military stuff is heavier than say an actual hiking backpack. That many layers of nylon plus molle strapping gets heavy.
My only complaint about the rush12 is that it could actually be a bit taller than it is for a bit more space... my p90 doesn't fit. :P

Just to throw my hat in the ring, I have a Tactical Tailor "Removeable Operator Pack", and I love it. It's simple and straightforward. Big open main pocket, side open outer pocket, some molle real estate on 3 sides, and a spot for a bladder. (Holds a Source WLPS 3L bladder just fine.)

If I might make a suggestion, you may not need it right now, but the RUSH24 has pockets along the sides of the bag which prove very useful. In terms of dimension, the pockets do not really add much width to the bag, however they do provide you with a reasonable amount of additional volume should the need arise. I've been able to travel for a week with the RUSH24, mind you, there was no laptop or camera that time.
