Socom Silencer Question

Hey guys.

I just bought a CA Socom Silencer 14mm+ w/ foam from Illusion, but for some reason it's to small for my KSC Mk23 Socom 2005 version. I thought the threading/barrel size on the Mk23 is 14mm, and no I didn't get the wrong thread direction. I guess it's different for mine.

I was just wondering does anyone know the exact barrel size for this pistol?
I'm using a stock barrel right now. But it wouldn't make a difference right? I read some some reviews on this pistol before buying it and the reviewer said that people should be careful on putting on a silencer since the threading on the pistol is plastic.

If someone have any info on this please share.

No adapters exist that go from 16mm female to 14mm male.

The KSC SOCOM silencer is 16mm+

Accessories for the KSC SOCOM silencer suggest that it is NOT 14mm. The next common thread size is 16mm.

I'd think that a product titled "KSC Socom Silencer for MK23" would best suit this application.
With accessories for it too!

I'll ask WGC if that suppressor fits.

In the PM that I sent you, the third link is the thread protector.

As a personal opinion, that adapter is ugly as hell and may add too much weight to your gun to make it functional. The way most GBB's work, is that the outer barrel operates on a "rocker" motion... in real steel applications, this is to aid the re-chambering of the next round. In airsoft, it helps "a little bit", but really isn't necessary, since Marui is able to function fine without rocking. However, MOST gbb manufacturers include that function to replicate operation as close to real steel as possible.
As a result of the rocking outer barrel/chamber, if there is a weight at the front of the outer barrel, it'll push the chamber up against the top of your slide; adding resistance, and making blowback sluggish. If there's enough pressure, it'll create too much resistance for your gun to even cycle properly, if at all. In worst case scenarios, the slide won't even blow back anymore. In those cases, re-chambering can only be done by pointing your gun directly at the ground (or even turning it upside down) to reverse the pressure before you can manually rack the slide.

I'm not sure how well the 2005v KSC mk23 can handle the extra weight on the suppressor, but I once had a KJW mk23 tactical in my possession that couldn't handle much weight at all on the thread before it got stuck. It would fire, the slide would fire back, but it would get stuck back until I pushed the front of the outer barrel up with my hand.

Hi code 85, this is what i'm talking about.
If anyone want to use a silencer attached to KSC MK 23, try to use an extreme stiff recoil spring and hammer spring and propane (at least, higher pressure preferred)
I use DIY the spring (probably about 250% compare with original) in order to get crisp blowback.

Would a metal slide be required with such upgrades?
